The purpose of the school-community relations program is to establish and maintain in the public mind both
respect for the school system and confidence that it is providing the best possible education for the District's
students in terms of intellectual, emotional, moral, social, and physical development.
To this end, parents and other District residents are to be kept informed regarding Federal/State regulations and
District policies and guidelines.
The Superintendent shall be responsible for the District's public relations program which shall be designed to
accomplish the following objectives to:
A. Explain in an understandable manner, the programs, achievements, and needs of the schools.
B. Anticipate potential problems caused by misunderstanding or lack of information and take measures to
eliminate them before they happen.
