The Board of Education and Administration embrace the requirements of State and Federal law that children with
disabilities be educated, to the maximum extent appropriate, with children who are nondisabled. The Board further
embraces the State and Federal requirement that a continuum of alternative placements be available to meet the
needs of children with disabilities eligible for special education services under the Individuals with Disabilities
Education Act (IDEA).
